Do you ever wonder where to start when it comes to home organization?
Sometimes tackling your whole house at one time is way too much to handle. So I’ve put together five simple tips – one for each main room of your house.
These simple measures have a big impact, and once they’re completed you can move on to the next round of organizing!
1. Bedroom Closet
Take shoes off the ground and put them on shelves. This will make the closet seem less cluttered and will create a home for shoes so they are always returned there at the end of the day.
2. Home Office
Create a notebook for recipes, bills, receipts, magazine articles, etc., avoiding unwanted accumulation of paper on office desks and counter spaces.
Store canned goods and spices on their side in drawers to prevent the “food museum” in the back of the cabinet. It also helps avoid purchasing duplicates of foods and spices that were lost in the back.
4. Kid’s Room
Make sure rods and shelving are low enough to reach; an adjustable system will change along with the child’s needs as they grow.
Use containers, racks, baskets and wall hooks to keep garage contents off the floor for safety and easy access.
So are you ready to take the first steps towards organizing your home? If you think these tips would be helpful to your friends or family, please share them!
